About Nabeel Kibria

Nabeel Kibria, a seasoned legal practitioner in the District of Columbia specializing in criminal defense and immigration law, operates from his offices located in both DC and Alexandria, Virginia. He co-founded Ervin Kibria PLLC.

Having graduated from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia, renowned for its dedication to public interest law, Nabeel is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. During his time at law school, he actively served as a student attorney in the esteemed Low-Income Housing-Consumer Law Clinic, offering over 500 hours of pro bono legal aid to low-income DC residents. His work included successful litigation in cases related to rental conditions and violations of human rights acts in DC Landlord-Tenant Court and DC Superior Court. Additionally, Nabeel dedicated over 700 hours as a student attorney in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, providing pro bono legal and tax preparation services, successfully addressing complex state and federal tax matters for clinic clients.

Alongside his academic pursuits, Nabeel gained valuable experience as a senior law clerk to the managing partner of a prominent criminal defense firm in northern Virginia. There, he represented numerous defendants across a spectrum of cases, including traffic violations, alcohol-related offenses, drug crimes, violent offenses, theft-related charges, and government forfeitures.

Driven by his passion for litigation, particularly in criminal defense and immigration law, and his deep affinity for the District of Columbia, Nabeel co-established Ervin Kibria PLLC with Justin Ervin. Known for his empathetic approach, Nabeel comprehends his clients' anxieties and concerns when facing legal charges.
